Drug Recalls and Withdrawals Alerts

On January 31, 2012, the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a voluntary recall of certain lot numbers of Lo/Ovral-28 tablets and norgestrel and ethinyl estradiol tablets. This recall was issued because the package may contain the wrong number of active ingredient tablets or tablets containing no active ingredients due to a packaging error. Because of the packaging error, the daily schedule for these contraceptives may be incorrect and could leave women at risk for unintended pregnancy. Read more about this drug recall.
