HOUSTON, August 03, 2012 — Aetna (NYSE: AET) announced today that Memorial Hermann has been added to its network of participating hospitals for Medicare Advantage members. Memorial Hermann, which has been part of Aetna’s commercial network for more than 20 years, agreed to a contract for Aetna Medicare Advantage members.
Members of Aetna Medicare Advantage plans can receive care at in-network rates from all Memorial Hermann facilities, which includes 12 hospitals. “Aetna is very pleased to announce this collaboration with Memorial Hermann,” said Barb Wilkinson, head of Aetna’s Medicare Advantage operation for Texas. “We are proud to offer our customers broad access to high quality hospitals and providers in Texas.
