Aetna Selected For New Ohio Medicaid Contract

RICHFIELD, Ohio, April 06, 2012 — Aetna Better Health of Ohio, an Aetna (NYSE: AET) health plan that administers benefits for Medicaid members, has been selected by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) to administer services in Ohio.  The contract will be effective January 1, 2013.

Approximately 1.6 million individuals are eligible for Ohio’s Medicaid Managed Care Program statewide.  Aetna Better Health was one of five managed care organizations selected to administer the program, which serves the Covered Families and Children (CFC) Medicaid program and the Aged, Blind and Disabled (ABD) population.
