Aetna Shareholder Meeting To Be Webcast

HARTFORD, Conn., April 23, 2012 — Aetna’s (NYSE: AET) Annual Meeting of Shareholders will be available through a live audio webcast that can be accessed through the Internet on the Investor Information link at www.aetna.com/investor.  The Annual Meeting will be held in Nashville, Tenn., on Friday, May 18, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. ET (9:30 a.m. Central Time).

At the meeting, Aetna shareholders as of the close of business on March 16, 2012, will consider and act on the election of directors, approval of the appointment of Aetna’s independent registered public accounting firm for 2012, approval of the company's executive compensation on a non-binding advisory basis and, if properly presented, two shareholder proposals.
