StarLine Group Provides Organ Transplant Options Through New Agreement with Aetna's Cofinity

FALMOUTH, Mass. & HARTFORD, Conn., June 24, 2008 — StarLine Group and Aetna (NYSE: AET) announced today an agreement that will provide StarLine's customers with access to qualified organ transplant facilities.  The CofinitySM Institutes of ExcellenceTM (IOE) transplant program provides access to accredited facilities and clinical oversight to ease the transplant process and provide cost savings through utilization of Cofinity's IOE network. Cofinity is a division of Aetna that provides health-related services and products to insurance companies, third-party administrators, health plans and other customers.

"This arrangement will immediately benefit our Managed Care clients and their members as well as our self-funded clients through the StarLine Advantage Program," said Kelly Munger, StarLine's Senior Vice President, Managed Care. "By providing access to accredited transplant facilities, we can support quality health outcomes while helping manage costs for our clients and carriers."

"We are pleased to offer the Cofinity Institutes of Excellence transplant program to StarLine Group and its clients," said Dan Fishbein, M.D., President of Cofinity.  "The IOE program provides much needed support for those individuals going through the transplant process, improving access and affordability."

Facilities included in the IOE network must meet rigorous guidelines, including external accreditation and organ-specific quality review standards for volumes and outcomes. The program also provides clinical support from dedicated transplant nurses, consultation from a full-time medical director, and a centralized customer service unit to support the service needs of members and providers.
